Man United beat West Ham United 2-1 at Premier League Summer Series
MetLife Stadium, N.J (July 26, 2025) — Premier League Summer Series 2025, Man United beat West Ham United 2-1 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in their opening game of their pre-season tour of the United States.
Bruno Fernandes scored twice, with Jarrod Bowen replying for Graham Potter’s side as Ruben Amorim declared himself pleased at performances by Kobbie Mainoo in a deeper midfield position and striker Rasmus Hojlund.
New signing Matheus Cunha caught the eye, linking up particularly well with captain Fernandes, and Amorim has clearly been working his players hard in preparation for the new campaign.
The friendly against Everton in Atlanta is a target. “We hope to have Bryan in the last game,” Amorim said.
Head coach Ruben Amorim will have been able to take plenty of positives from the game, with United’s collective performance offering plenty of encouragement. There was also a series of bright individual showings.
Premier League Summer Series is a clash with Bournemouth in Chicago in midweek.
